Did some salty ass (fill in the blank) just try to come for me on my own FB page? 🧐 How about deleted, blocked and moving on. I cannot stand mean people. Like is your life that miserable that you need to spread your misery around? If so, make some changes sis… dassit 🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyway, it’s Friday and I have a lot to do… I have a program at work that I need to fix but every time I fix it, it appears to get more broken 🤷🏽‍♀️… le sigh..

Also, i’ll be heading to NJ today for my uncle’s party tomorrow. He and my aunt are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. That’s an amazing feat… Does this still happen nowadays or is it as remarkable as I think it is? 🧐

So, yesterday.. I shared parts of my blog with my Jehova's Witness little cousin… Ms. Big Head…  I had to search for bits without curse words and that didn’t mention anything gay, lol… Not much left to share but she seemingly enjoyed what was left anyway. 

Today is a good one because its my first payday in very many weeks. The break in work was intentional but the break in having coins was not, lol. I had set plenty of coins aside in order to take a few weeks off but me and Ms. Straight Gurl went to Home Goods like three times and ended up finding pieces that were apparently impossible to resist 🙄… hence broke… but the house is looking cute though 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️… 

Planning for our October trip to Progreso, Mexico. Cute AirBnb booked, check. Appointment made to complete my sleeve tat in Merida, check… I requested 3 days 10/13, 10/14 + 10/15… not sure how long it will take to get the artwork I want. I have a Kemetic tattoo theme, which I intend to keep. 

If you are unaware of Kemet I implore you to do the research. The land now called Egypt was long ago called Kemet and populated by BLACK 🧔🏾‍♀️ Africans. There is evidence of Kemet’s existence as far back as 20,000 BCE (before common era rather than before Christ). Kemet, a black African culture was the first civilization in existence. All of life descends from Africa… and blackness… Please, do not believe me at all, simply do your own research (also note: any belief system which denounces research should be side eyed)… 

The principles of Ma’at, the Book of the Dead, Kemetic Hieroglyphs are indeed the source of whatever people call the Bible… again please don’t take it from me… look it up for yourself… 

Anyway, all of that to say… Kemet was a mighty black society and paved the way for…. literally everything… It’s unfortunate that here in America they pretend black history starts with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade… before we were stolen, brutalized and treated as chattel/ property we were kings, queens, scientists, astronomers, mathematicians, farmers, philosophers, etc… 

When “they” ripped us from our land they ripped away some of the best of the best… and after that only the best of that group survived the journey and the best of them survived slavery in America… The innate ingenuity of our ancestors remained with us. So ingenious in fact many of those surviving Africans were revolutionary: 

Sojourner Truth (1797-1883), 

David Walker (1829), 

Henry Highland (1843), 

Benjamin Banner (1731-1806), 

Jan Matzeliger (1852-89), 

Lewis Latimer (1848-1928), 

Granville Woods (1856-1910), 

Garret Morgan (1867-1963), 

George Washington Carver (1864-1943) 

and so many more.   

Notable white inventors like Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison have the slaves to thank for “their” inventions. Blacks have made a significant contribution to america and the world for that matter. Some might say blacks made some of the MOST significant contributions… 

So to my people, you should know and understand that those of us surviving in the modern world today, especially in America are cut from a very elite cloth… the best of the best from Africa, the best of that best who survived the middle passage and then the best of those who survived chattel slavery…. Before eugenics was a word we went through it. We were systematically bred to be elite, which is why we are. 

I could go on and on about Kemet and black excellence but I need to get some work done. I implore everyone, not just blacks to learn and study about Classical African Societies, notably Kemet and Nubia… learn our original selves, our original foods, our original beliefs, our original polytheistic religion… Some of us learn Yoruba, which is cute but there’s even an origin to that, something older, the stuff imprinted in our DNA… yeah, go learn that and see how much more powerful you’ll become…
