A day in the apocalypse
So, I woke up today feeling pretty positive and hopeful 😃. I did my daily weigh in and I am down 1.3 lbs, which is good. I still need to do my “daily plan”…
I am back into daily planning, which is a worksheet I created for myself to manage my food, exercise and emotional health. I came up with it with the help of Ms. P, my old therapist.
Daily I…. :
Identify potential stressors and proactively plan solutions for dealing with them.
Review my motivation resources, which consists of a list of goals and pictures.
Plan my meals.
Plan my exercise.
And I answer the following questions:
1.) If I had a great day, by the end of the day how would I feel?
2.) What am I grateful for?
3.) How will I prioritize my mental health today?
4.) What can I do for fun today?
5.) What things would I have accomplished today? (Do one thing I have been avoiding)
After my daily plan, I go to my to do list…. today I will:
1.) Look for new contracts for my business.
2.) Work on my application for registering my business as minority owned.
3.) Exercise
4.) Continue packing my apartment
So yeah, I am leaving my Dallas apartment since my contract is up. 😕I’m going to miss the place because it’s super cute. This weekend I will be packing up a van full of furniture and clothes and driving it to Ms. My Gurl’s place near Oakland, CA. 🚐
I’m kinda looking forward to the road trip, but also I am a little nervous because it is a long two day drive.
On my mind has been the idea of mentorship. 💡I would love to find an elder to be my mentor, but I don’t even know where to start looking. On top of which, what is my criteria for a mentor? 🤷🏽♀️ I have no idea. I just know, I have never had one and I would like to have that experience.
Ok, let me go be productive!
Tootles!
