Ugh... BISH Please... You Fake Anyway

 

I am in a perpetual state of learning, as appropriate. But dayyyyuuumm do the lessons EVER get any less jarring? Like, why does my mind have to be rocked hard af regularly?

So this week, or these last few weeks I am learning that my "friends" are not actually good friends at all.... smh.. I'm too old for this foolishness but here I am at 38 ... learning school yard lessons like a 3 year old...

So basically, my lesson came in a few parts:

Part 1:

People will keep you around to get what they can get out of you. Nuff said.

Part 2: 

The people who actually deserve to get things from you will likely not ask, not accept and / or not make taking from you a damn habit. Furthermore, real people will not get big mad or all up in their feelings if they can no longer take from you.

Part 3:

People will keep you around to shine on you... Or to have someone to outwardly pretend to do better than. You know what? Jealousy is a barrier to true contentedness, period.

I also learned a few signs of REAL friends:

Sign 1:

True friends give freely to one another from a spirit of kindness and abundance...  it could be a drink, a dinner, advice, hair products, etc... whatever you have and can share, you do so with your friends if you are a good friend.

Sign 2: 

True friends are actually BOTHERED when you are bothered. Check it. If your friend unintentionally does something to piss you off, they will be sorry about it.... they will be BOTHERED by the fact that you are bothered.... Furthermore, if someone else does something to piss you off, a real friend should be beyond bothered to the point of being in an UPROAR, lol.... It's called solidarity bish. You mad? Oh, me too then...

Sign 2: 

True friends hang around when there is no juicy gossip to learn, nothing to be gained, nothing exciting to do, nothing earth shattering goings on.... they are there because they are your chosen family and simply want to share space with you... period... nothing more has to be going on.

So yeah... truly, my family, new boo and maybe a tiny subset of others might fall into the category of  real friends. Certainly, I have much fewer than I thought...
